Bio
Starting with his first band in Florence, Italy, to high school bands in Dallas, Texas and on to headline tours of Australia as key sideman to Aussie megastar Jimmy Barnes, Tom’s playing abilities have grown exponentially allowing him to captivate audiences with a guitar style that ranges from groovy feels to soaring soloing.
Touring with Jimmy Barnes’ band included 65 dates opening for ZZ Top in the US and multiple headline tours across Australia. One Oz tour, dubbed “Australian Made”, featured co-headliners INXS, Divinyls and other homegrown talent that became a movie theatre release Down Under.
The Oz connection continues with Tom recording with Australia’s Divinyls (I Touch Myself/Austin Powers) on their album “Temperamental” in legendary Sunset Studios LA, recording guitar, Hammond organ, Steinway and synthesizers as well as backup vocals.
Tom has earned the Island Music Awards Male Songwriter of the Year for his song “There’s More To You.”
The Tom Lang Band consists of:
Bradley J. Clarke – Drums and vocals. Bradley J has toured the West Coast extensively and has played shows behind homegrown Victoria icons David Foster and Nelly Furtado. Longtime friends and bandmates with Tom, Brad is ready to rock the kit and sing for the band.
Steve Moyer – Bass and vocals. A singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist himself, Steve’s career has included touring on both Canadian coasts as well as songwriting and session work with luminaries including Bruce Fairbairn (Prism, Aerosmith) and Howard Lease (Heart). Steve pumps the bottom end with gusto!
Jeannie Vee – Keyboards. A versatile piano meister since age three, Jeannie is the most recent to join the band bringing textures and flash from her award-winning career on-stage and off, spanning decades of performing in bands, directing/arranging musical theatre, composing, teaching and mentoring. She provides the glue that fills the songs between Tom’s energetic guitar and the tight low end from Brad and Steve.
